1)Definitions & Law
The contract is the document or documents that set these conditions and all other details about your agreement with us. "WE" and "US means the supplier of goods or services.(SHADDY MEDIA) "YOU means the person, persons Client or Customer. "EVENT" means the service you have booked. These conditions will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the English law. These conditions do not affect the statutory rights as a consumer as defined by the "Unfair Contract Terms act 1977 or any statutory amendments of that act. 2)Cancellations
The client may cancel this contract at any time by giving written notice to SHADDY MEDIA, but in doing so shall forfeit any monies paid. Should Shaddy Media receive cancellation less than 14 days prior to the date of the ceremony, the client shall in addition pay a sum equal to 25% of the contract value. The said sum shall be payable as compensation as an estimate of the loss that Shaddy Media would suffer.
3)Payment Terms
A minimum payment of 50% is required for the booking. The balance of payment is due on or before your event. Client should collect his/her finished product within 7 days after completion. Productions not collected due to non-payment will incur a weekly charge of £20 from the day of completion. 4)Attendance Hours
We will attend your event for the number of hours booked and will make every effort to capture the events of the day that you have specified, within the agreed time frame. Unless instructed differently, we will film all the events requested, but should this go over the number of hours booked, we will charge for the additional time. 5)Operator requirements.
If the camera operator is to film either up to the first dance or all evening then some form of refreshment must be provided unless this has been indicated otherwise on the booking form. 6)Video Titles
It is your responsibility to ensure that information to be included in the video titles is submitted in clear, legible writing to us at least 2 days after your event. Any changes needed to the titles in the finished video due to incorrect information originally supplied such as changes to names, spelling errors etc, will be subject to an additional charge. Title corrections due to errors made by us will be corrected free of charge, but errors due to incorrect information supplied to us will be subject to an additional charge. 7)Editing
We will edit the footage in order to produce an attractive representation of your event including titles and a high-light sequence for the final production. Post-production editing to produce a different version of your video is available on request but must be ordered separately and will be charged for. Post production includes video editing, audio editing, titling, colour correction, special effects, etc. Please be advised that we require a minimum of 21-28 days to complete the editing. 8)Archiving
We will keep a copy of your final production in our library, so you may order copies at any time in the future. 9)Liability
Shaddy Media will make every effort to ensure that the filming of your event is completed faultlessly, however we cannot be held responsible should we be unable to complete all or part of the filming due to equipment failure, illness of the cameraman during the event, power failure or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. 10)Copyright / Display
The copyright of the goods will remain with us. The client hereby allows Shaddy Media to display any images/video included in this contract in their studios, portfolios, literature, wedding exhibitions and advertising.It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all materials supplied to Shaddy Media, such as photographs/music are either copyright free, or that suitable permissions/licences have been obtained to use such materials in the video. 11)Coverage
Please try to discourage your guests from standing all over the place with their camcorders/cameras thereby obstructing the hired professional cameraperson or photographer. The ideal position for us when filming the ceremony is just forward and to the side of the bride and groom, but this may not always be possible due to restrictions, church authorities or the layout of the venue. In the worst case, we may have to film from the rear of the church. If your video schedule includes filming at the bride's home prior to the ceremony, we must have time to film the final preparations and get to the ceremony venue in time to film the guests arriving. This is only possible if the bride is ready at least an hour before the ceremony and the venue is reasonably close to the house. The speeches at the reception are an important part of your day and we will do our best to capture these in full but you can help by letting us know in advance who the speakers are and where they will be seated. It is also your duty to show us your close relatives for the bride and the groom.
Any special moments (surprises), don't keep them a secret from us or we might miss them. Also let us know about anything unusual or anyone special that you would particularly like us to feature in the video. There are lots of weddings, so if you would like Shaddy Media to film your wedding, book now for that golden touch. 12)Complaints
Any complaints should be raised by the client to Shaddy Media, in writing, within 14 days of receipt of the finished video/photographs. 13)Rights reserved
Any failure by us not to enforce any or all of these conditions shall not amount to or be interpreted as a waiver of any of our rights. By booking Shaddy Media, for an event you are accepting these terms & conditions. 14)Rights
These Conditions do not affect your statutory rights. I agree in full to Shaddy Media’s terms
